Picked up the new project for my wife...
Well, passed on a 64 1/2 and bought this 65 for the wife. $2800 and $150 in gas to pick it up. Body is very solid. Paint is a beautiful color. A good paint job. Not a perfect showcar paint job, but the car will be a driver and I live on a dirt road. Will likely end up with red interior, since my car is red with a black interior, SWMBO wants a black car with red interior. Originally a 6cyl car. Has a 289 in it and came with an extra 302-c4.
Anyway, here's the pics I have for now. Will work on it through the winter and have it running for her by Spring.
And one of the "pre 1965 fleet" since my F150 and my wife's Edge aren't photographed.

lol, most of the guys here know a fair about my Fastback, as I've been on these boards for a few years, just absent for the last year or so. It's a 70 Fastback. Originally a 302-2v now a 408W with an AOD and 9" with 3.50 gears.
Added a shaker hood, Sport Seat upholstery, and a mach1 grill.
Painted Mark IV Red Clearcoat, same red as the 2005 Ford GT. It's a driver. definitely not perfect, but it get's a lot of attention and is a blast to drive. Most recent mod to it was a factory tilt steering column I stole from someone for $400.

i like the coupe! seems like the paint is nice. Is there something up with the gaps on the driver side trunk area and passenger door? or, is it just shadows?
deffinatly look into the 13" cobra brakes. i did them up front on my 66 and i love them. Also, the explorer rear end was worth is weight. the explorer rear will give you 3.73 gears, disc brakes, and track loc with 31 spline axles. i did mine for about $450 total and a weekend of grinding and welding.
nice price too!
