Default Missouri anyone, XXX capital

Whos is from Missouri,...whats with all of the XXX Adult Stores?!

My son and I drove through I-70 to Kansas this past weekend to drag home a rusted 67 coupe and couldn't believe all of the XXX adult stores along the way,....Adult stores and Fireworks stands every few miles or so.

I'm from New Orleans,.....Sin City, and haven't seen that many **** stores in one small area in my life!

Anyway, we dragged home a 67 project coupe, I'll be posting pics and road trip thoughts soon. My son is 13 and bugging me daily to get started on ripping this baby apart,...no engine, no trans, no interior, rusted floor pans,...but pretty good exterior sheetmetal, which is what I was looking for, all for the total cost of,....$300.00, I was thrilled.

Every gas station where we stopped, at least two people came over to talk to him about the car, not to mention the thumbs up and horn toots along the way,...he felt like a celebrity,...."Dad, this old car really is cool!!"

I'm getting carried away,...I start the write up soon.

LOL!!!

I think it has to do with the truckers. Seriously this area, I-70 and I-44, are major routes all across the US. Missouri ends up being kinda the trucking hub of the states. There are some major trucking companies based in In Joplin and NW Arkansas. As further proof, you remember the CMT show "Trick my truck", that was based here in Joplin.

It seems that alot of the time I spend on the road the lots are filled with big rigs. In fact one of my old co-workers lived about a mile from one of the exits where a store was located. At that particular exit there was an off camber really tight kink turning back into the XXX lot and my friend said that there was a truck driver that got it wrong about once a week.

When leaving from AZ, i go north to Denver then i take 70 from Denver east to Indy every couple years. It amazes me as well, the amount of **** shops on the way. One thing your forgetting to mention though is all the small churches along the way as well. It seems like they alternate every other exit. a **** shop this mile, a church the next for about 1000 miles.
Gotta love the U.S.A. you can stop at the next exit and repent for what you did at the last exit!

Red face

Talking to the local Stucky's worker as I pull into a Missouri gas station,..."Give me $50.00 on pump six, one Coke Icee, two packs of M-80's and twenty of your best porno DVDs,...which ones do you suggest?"

Cruising down South on I-65 on the way to Nashville, you'll find quite a few. Nothing like pulling around a mountain and seeing "Adult XXX Store" barring in Neon on a big sign next to a Mcdonald's.

They are all over. When I was living in LA and driving through Dallas to OK there were always several **** "barns" on 35. So MO and AR aren't alone.
