Paint

RE: Paint
If youre looking to spray the car in pieces, youll be spending more money. Because, consider the person at the shop that will be painting your parts. For every part you send, they have to mix paint, get everything prepped and then spray whatever pieces, then theyre done. They send you the bill. THen, whenever youre ready for another part you just repeat the process. As you can sort of figure, doing this over and over will probably aggravate the shop and will most likely make the price tag jump up.
I would recommend prepping the car as a whole and bringing it to the shop all at once. Although spraying it in parts is a good idea, you can still do the whole car like that as well, youll just have to dissasemble several things when you get to the shop but its no big deal. It'll save you money doing it all at once though.

I had mine done professionally from the get-go. Mostly because I do not like body work. To me it is boring and a lot of elbow grease to prep it for paint. But, it cost me 5 grand. If you do all the body work and prep, then the cost will be considerably less if you can find a shop that will only do the paint work. Try to stay away from places like Maaco.

If you are young, strong and have a lot of patience and a great deal of time on your hands, then prepping your car for painting your car is right up your alley. I pesonally do not have the patience. It is such a meticulous process.
