This "Kit" is just what Ford put on the cars with disk brakes. So ten years after you install it you will still be able to do a parts look up and get replacement parts for it.

I was going to go with the power, but I may end up with a hotrod motor that lacks vacuum so I went manual, they work great and my wife even feels confident with them. No regrets. If you have questions just call CSRP and ask away, he will set you straight.

The factory 4 piston brakes are better why down grade to a ranger rotor and s10 caliper?

I'm curious now, do ranger rotors fit the v8 spindles? I might have found a use for my old truck now......

No they don't, scarebird includes some bearing spacers to allow the ranger rear wheel bearing to fit on the mustang spindle.

I had a scarebird kit on my 66 fastback when I bought it 3 years ago. I was never happy with the brakes and had a hard time identifying what the heck brakes were on the car. I ended up changing it out to the CSRP KH 4 piston manual brake kit and could not be happier with it.

It looks like the CSRP kit is the way to go, after looking at it a pretty closely it seems that it will be easier and stop better. It really is not all that much more money than either redoing my power drums to get them working the best they can, or going to scarebird route. i just hope the manual disc are as good as everyone says they are. i love the look and the idea its all ford parts. thanks for all the responses.

Yeah I've been thinking about modding my scarebird kit to allow for better calipers.

They worked on the GT-350 cars, and they are prety popular from what I hear.

Seriously, my wife can make me eat the dash with these brakes (And she's a girl).
