Luckily I had the option of fitting the headers on the bench with the AOD attached. No P/S, so it worked pretty good.

As for the Rubic's reference, the pic is lying. I'm in my element when wrapped in wire!

As for the 2500 versus 3400, the 25 drove like Granny's Town Car. Biiig mistake, $200 paper weight. The 3400 is like dropping the 3.73 to a 4.33 on launch! This is a daily driver with NOOOO regrets on the 3400. Mileage is close and varies more tank to tank based on the mood of my right foot than based on the converter change. http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/my-t...er-204176.html

I appreciate the comments above!

Now, to find carshows that appreciate "builder's" rides. Around here, it's all about the "Bling Bling Penile Extension Packages" and disappointing. Saturday's show was won with mostly store-bought wonders. Nice cars, but the owners simply wrote a check - most can't tell you what oil is in it. We were sitting with a 19 yo kid who roughly restored a 48 pickup with his brother and Grandad. It had dents, a cracked window, but was great! THAT'S what the hobby should be recognizing - not the 2011 Shelby next to us the guy spent $45000 on, sunk another $30000 into shop installed mods, then takes a chair outta the trunk and shows it as if he did anything worthy of pride or the other side of us with a 69 SS Camaro who bought it sight-unseen and complained to me it sprinkled (rain) on it ONCE.

My motto: Fire up a torch or fire off a check.
In my case, both the torch AND the check will be hot, so guess which way I sway! Anyone want to point me to the builder's carshows in South Texas?

Well put... I intend to use the phrase "1 of 1, One I built!" on my lic plate cover. stumbled on a stang show last weekend, and totally disappointed by all the p@nis pumping going on. I like to share ideas and thoughts, not ego's. You did an amazing job that brings credibility to the hobby. Great job!

What a transformation. Car had all the usual rust in the usual places. You did a great job and it shows in the finished product.
