How big of a tire can I put under the back of my car?
I am having a hard time trying to decide what size tire I can fit under the back of my 65 coupe...I have looked in magazines and noted the sizes and read articles and am still alittle lost. I am using stock ride height front and back. I think the biggest I can go in the front is 24" tall and 8" wide? I am not sure on the back. Any help? I don't want any rubbing issues. Thanks again, Brent

Don't even understand the last question? I went by the chart but I think it is on the light side to be safe. I have been looking in the mags and they are listing much larger tires under the cars. Any help???

You need to consider the off set of the rims too.
Here is a very good fitment guide for what works:

I am running 16x8 wheels with 4.5 inch back spacing and 225VR50-16 tires with no rubs on front or back.
