It ok but what should I get I dont think I can get a 4100! Way too much.

Your 2100 has like 520 cfm. If you don' have a four barrel set-up, then why did you ask a question about a 600 cfm carburetor? Unless you replace everything under the carb to accept the four barrel carb, then you just need to stick with your 2100.

i dont know why because i needed a manifold so why not go 4bbl.
And the carb on there is bad.

He is talking about his intake manifold, b/c his is cracked. His carb is also bad so I think he's just figurin why not get a few extra ponies out of her. right tyler? lol.

exactly why buy a new 2bbl manifold when in the future I want to put a 4bbl on anyways.

Yeah, thats exactly what i said. I know my 2 barrel is going to go out soon, and i WILL NOT put another 2 barrel on, I'd upgrade to a 4 barrel right then and there. I think a 500-600 CFM carb would be just right for a pretty stock 289.

You got a carb coming? I like Edelbrocks, but man, do they get horrible gas mileage. Our 67 Ford F100 has a 600 CFM carb on it, and we are filling it up all the time.
