Default Vent Window Weatherstripping

The weatherstripping on the vent window of my 66 seems like it's dryrotted to the point of needing replacing. It isn't the rubber that actually runs along the entire front "v" of the window (it looks like someone's already decided to replace htis), it's the straight piece that runs along the back that is attached to the frame.

When I see this piece for sale, it is advertised as "sold with rivets". This makes me wonder how difficult these are to actually install. What steps are there to put these pieces in?

Although not difficult, its an expensive tool to buy (about 100 Bucks) that is required to remove and replace those rivets. You can see one in the NPD catalog tool pages (PN 927-1)
