Default which subframe connectors are the best

I really nice track just opened up near mi casa and i am thinking that i would like to start tracking a little on the weekends.

Which connectors are the best bang for the buck. I am no pro and would like to improve the handling but dont want to waste too much $.

I am capable of the weld in connectors by the way.

the ones that connect the front to the back...

Sorry, weld in is most effective. Aside from that, look at the different offerings and how they are packaged. Some hang down less than others. Some will tie into the rockers, also. It's hard to say there is one right answer. Anything you do to stiffen the car will help. Is it worth the cost? That's a very subjective question of opinion.

We used Tinman's and will use them again on our next project. They are reasonably priced and take little to no modification to fit.

TinMan here too. Heavy duty and reasonable.

Tinmans look almost factory but the stiffest would be global west they sell a rocker tie in kit which does take a lot of flex out of the unibody.

I used Competition Engineering bolt on units but welded them in..I like how they attach right at the front eye of the rear leaf springs...

I just installed a set of Tinman on my 66, ordered and received in 3 days to the west coast. Excellent service! Perfect fit! It took longer to prep for welding than installing them. The welding was a little tricky because it was difficult to get into some tight places and in some cases you're welding upside down or vertical. I looked at Global West, Total Control, and others, most had powder coating which would have been an added pain to prep before welding.

BTW, got some good advise from Jim at Tinman, if your rear torque boxes are dented like mine were, simply cut a 15 or 18g plate to size (aprox. 6"X6") and tack it to the bottom side of the floor board (torque box) and then fit your subframe connector. The plate provides a good flat surface to mount to.

best bang for the buck would be to make your own (assuming your labor is $0/hr).

the cost would be for scrap metal and some consumables.
