Take a small wire, even speaker wire works, from the positive battery to positive coil like mentioned above. then jump fire it up. I bet it will spark! That will at least let you know the system works and to trace wiring issues. If it doesnt fire up then go to your condenser. But you should have 12v to your coil when key on.

I set the points to specs...I believe .017 to .020.
I disconnected the lead from the resistor to the coil and got 12v now on the input side of the resistor. Connected it back and it drops down to 8v.

12v on one side and 6 on the other is about right. If you have 8 or 12 volts to the coil, points are set right, (to spec at the top of the cam) and no spark, chances are you have a bad coil. You can check impedance of the coil to give you an idea whether it is good or not.

Coil is new...I checked the primary and got 1.6 and the secondary and got 10.2....does that seem right?
