Will it never stop?


Here are some pictures of the Frankenmuth Autofest this past weekend. It's a 3 day show (I only went for two) which involves a friday street race to get good parking spots, and a "Judged" show on Saturday.

Things to note:
*Only 25 trophies given out to a group of about 3,000 cars
*$20.00 registration fee for each vehicle ($20.00 * 3,000 = $60,000.00)
*50/50 drawings were in the morning and afternoon... the 2 that I heard go off were $1,800.00 and up to the winner.

*Ronald McDonald house benifits from donations from this show (I have no idea how much actually makes it to the kids)

Nah, my heart was racing when a guy in a 1970 Mach 1 backed into my '68 during the Friday events. Luckily he only cracked the rear side marker lense. No paint or body damage - Whew! -


The stats of that show kind of irk me... at least there were no dead people on the trophies this time! [:-]

Plus, the season is almost over... I believe the first weekend of October marks the last big show.

Also, I have to attend... I just started a club, Why would anyone interested in going to shows follow someone who stays at home? Anyways, stand by... Next week is the All Mustang and Ford show in Birch Run.

I like Car shows, it gives me a chance to get ideas for my car. And I like spending time with other car guys, there's not too many of them around my parts. Nice pictures C!
