well my dad got most of the front end together and just finish the head liner. ill get some more pics next time i visit him. know I'm looking for an oil cooler set up and the 3.91 gears for it. getting ready to start the engine rebuild, but one of the pistons is bad so now I'm gonna try to find a new set. do you guys recommending getting all 8 as set or just finding one to replace the bad one.

if you can find an identical replacement then just do the one. If you can't then get all 8 the same. Either way it'll need to be balanced again.

Default 428 scj lifters solid or hyrdraulic

so i went to my father this weekend to help him out with the car. we got the reared and leaf springs sand blasted and put some etching primer on them. the interior is almost complete and the back glass is in, along with the trunk lid.

so my father and i got to talking about the motor. so we are going to buy a new set of pistons and cam and lifters, but my question to guy is wether to go with solid or leave the hydraulic ones. i know the FE block have some oil problems so if we go with the solid lifters we will have to make some mods to the block. please give me you input on your thought. we are not going to do anything crazy with motor just cam and pistons. it is gonna be a street car not gonna see tons of mile but i am gonna drive it. i just want a nice reliable motor. I'm only try to put this thing in once. lol
