I would not recommend the cometics for a stock engine...Overkill and they can be finicky to get sealed up properly and require a very smoothe deck surface....I replaced mine with felpro 1011-2s and haven't had any issues since...I have heard the victor reinz gaskets are very good as well.

I like those Cometics, but NOT for a stock motor at 200 bucks.

I have always used Fel-Pro when they are available..... Never had a problem, in fact, I have never had a problem with "lesser" gaskets, or stock steel, when Fel-Pro was not available....
I guess if I was building a race engine, I might spring for the Cometics, but except for a couple diesel builds, I haven't found the need to spend THAT kind of money on a set of gaskets.
Sometimes, the "very best" is a waste of resources.... (don't get mad at me for saying this.... just my opinion!!! )
And,,,,, I use gaskets AND a thin layer of RTV (both sides of the gasket) on just about all engine surfaces except for intake, exhaust, and head gaskets. SELDOM does anything I put together leak, and I like it that way.
For those guys who like to say "no sealant is needed if you do it right"....... Well,,,, goody, goody for you..... lol
