vent hole on exhaust manifold?

Default vent hole on exhaust manifold?

just bought a repo 289 stock exhaust manifold (log) theres a vent hole at the #4 exhaust. is that supposed to be there? or do i need to tap and plug it or is it supposed to be hooked up somewhere? help

I would guess its for a choke heat tube.

My guess would also be for the choke heat tube as I have one on my manifold on my inline 6 and that's what it's used for.
