The more they say gas will go up, the more it will go up. Americans have become acustomed to high gas prices. Where I live, you can go to one side of town and pay 30 cents higher than you would on the other side of town. Back in the days of $1.50 gas, a 30 cent difference between stations would have been a huge deal. Now, it's not. Because we're so used to seeing high gas prices.
As long as we get shunned for trying to use our own resources and making resources from nearby countries (pipeline anyone?) difficult to get, gas prices will continue to go up. All an effort to get us to switch to small, economic cars. That's what we all want right?
