Default Autolite 2100 Carb for a I6 200 motor?

I have a Autolite 1100, but I'm interested in installing a 2100. Can it be done and are there advantages to it?

Yes it can be done. you will need an adapter plate and most likely a different throttle setup.

As for advantages it should give you a little more acceleration and power.

Thanks for the link.

Do you think this carb will maintain 20-22 mpg on the highway?

I would think so, I've never used it before. My grandfather and I both used the HW5200 setup, but they are a pain to tune. We both had T5 transmissions as well.

Tilley go to Fordsix.com and read read read there is a ton of info about the ford i6 and that is a common swap to happen. you can do it one of two ways get a 2-1 adaptor or machine the head to take a carb plate. just bolting the adaptor on you will only gain like 5 hp machining you will gain upwards of 24 hp.

Did this on my 65 Falcon a few years back. Trans-dapt adaptor from summit $42, throttle cable from an early eighties f150 six cylinder, gas pedal from a 69 mustang (to fit the cable), and duraspark dizzy and box from a 78 Granada six (new Autozone). Night and day difference in drivability, power, and mileage (about 24 mpg around town). Personally, the best part was being able to light up the tires and chirp second gear..doesn't take much to make me happy though...
