Oh I almost forgot to ask, I am assuming I need to adapt my emergency brake lines, right? If I remember correctly it is different for single exhaust than for dual. What would I need?

.
It is important to get headers for the right year..BUT the 67-70 mustangs and cougars are pretty much identical under the hood so I am sure they would work just fine as long as your running the same engine/trans..As for the drop bracket for the power steering ram almost all headers require that you use it..

No...I think you are thinking of the 65-66 mustangs that had a different floor mount bracket for the rear flex line when they had dual exhaust..

Exactly. Shouldn't be anything to worry about on your car.

Just installed Hooker Competion headers on my car, passenger side went in easy with lots of room. drivers side differant story, fought with it for hours had to remove steering components and the end result the headers are touching the frame. So before I pull it back off and take a hammer to it any one got any suggestions?

yes i do, loosen the bolts on 11/16 bolts on the motor mounts, place a floor jack under the bell housing and jack it up just a tiny bit. Then take a prybar and slightly scootch the engine to the passenger side. You may be able to move it enough that you wont have to dent anything for clearance. I just did this and was able to get a 1/8" gap between the pipe and sheet metal.

PS dont forget to tighten them back up!!!!!!!!!!!!
