Default 1968 big-block sway bar install

I'm installing a 1" front sway bar on a customer's '68 390 GT S code fastback. He brought me the bar, I installed it and now the bar hits the oil filter. CJ Pony and other companies list a separate sway bar for 67-70 big blocks. Anyone know how to make the (apparently) small block bar fit this big block car? Another oil filter number that's narrower and/or shorter. I already tried an FL-300 and PH-16 and they are still too long. I know there are Ford filter adapters that will rotate the filter and may have to do that. I would like to find a filter that would work since he can no longer return this about $100 sway bar and simply get another. Thanks for your help. I'm a new guy so please email me at shop @ rtclassics@att.net. Thanks and best regards

If your customer insists on using the wrong sway bar, you'll have to install a remote or different-shaped oil filter mount, which will likely cost more than the correct sway bar.
