Probably very true, but there must be many shops out there capable of doing that type of work. Ask around at local car GTGs and find out who other people trust to do major jobs like swapping a modern engine into a classic Mustang. I know a shop in MI that would be an excellent choice, but that doesn't help you out in CA.

Look online. there is a guy that put a 66 fastback onto a 2004 chassis. (i think that was the years) anyway, i think this would be the way for you to go.
If you want to fund it, ill do the work. It may take a year though. Im taking some time off work so i have a lot of it right now.............................................
