Default Blast headlamp buckets & rear quarter panel extensions?

I was going to blast headlamp bucket and qtr extension but I thought I read somewhere you shoul dnot blast these parts since they are cast. Could be wrong and mixed it up with something else. Any concerns?

Just did my extensions and buckets, not a problem as long as they use the correct media.
