original washer pump issue

Default original washer pump issue

my orignal pump stopped working last month on my 66. i bought a aftermarket style from mustangs unlimited and i have it wired up but when i pull the **** out nothing happens. i checked to make sure it worked off the car and it did but it wont work while on the car. any ideas what i need to do to get it working?

I think they were grounded from the mounting points. You can run a wire from the bolt hole to a good ground.
Also, get a voltmeter or test light. Hook it up to the 12v power. trigger wire. Have someone pull the **** and see if you are getting 12 volts.

You need to get a test light or DVM out and verify that you have light/2V when you pull the switch out. If its a 2 wire check the other wire for a good ground . if it's a 1 wire make sure the pump base is grounded to the body and the body is grounded to the Batt Neg.
