Default Where do u recommend buying repro sheet metal?

I'm in the process of replacing both rear frame rails, trunk drop offs, trunk cross member and some parts of the wheel wells as well as quarter panels... Do you recommend a particular vendor that provides quality parts/metal? Thanks.

Hi,
As was mentioned, FORD tooling will be your best choice. Going cheap will surely cause more initial fitment issues. I've heard a lot of good comments about the Dynacorn products. When you talk to a mustang vendor ask about the tooling, if not Dynacorn. I recently purchased a set of hood hinges from CJs and were a Dynacorn product. They were the bomb,....a good thing! Good Luck with your project.

There are no fixed rules for sourcing sheetmetal, change is the only constant. A parts shop that's also doing restoration is your best bet. Glazier/Nolan is one such (there are others), and although I have advocated use of original tool parts for a long time, I'm told by their body techs that quality control on recent OT fenders from Gertenslager has been slipping. This translates to more adjustment/time on installation, which is supposed to be the chief advantage to using OT parts.

And, of course, there are many, many parts not available as OT must be sorted out. Some are available from multiple sources, and you need to sort through which are the better parts. This is where your supplier's experience comes in, otherwise you'll be sending back a lot of parts as you figure it out.
