Default Electric choke hook up

Hey guys, back once again for some more tech advice. Putting new Holley 600 on my '65 and wanted to go with an electric choke. Where is the best place to tie that hot wire in to? As always, you guys rock and all the help I get is always greatly appreciated!

Back of the alternator "stator" post with a relay and a 10-15 amp fuse.

You can wire it without a relay but you will not get a full+12 volts. It will still work, but will not heat up quick.

I tied mine in to the brown wire (in a 66) that goes to the heater blower. It was close, already in the engine bay, and it is only "hot" when the key is on.

I have a 1 wire, would that mean that I should connect it to the 1 wire on the alternator that is available?

No, that's the B+ terminal, meaning you'd always have power to the choke. The blower motor wire is a good source. You want something that's switched 12V that runs through a fuse.

Default Problem solved!

I just tapped it in to the switched side of the solenoid and put a 10 amp in line fuse on it. Worked perfectly! Again, I thank everyone for their input! Can't say enough for the info I get from this forum!

Switched side of the solenoid? You realize that's only on when the starter is engaged, right? You need it to be on whenever the key is in the ON position.
