brake proportioning valve issue

Default brake proportioning valve issue

Now after replacing wheel and master cylinders, the brake lite stays on a pnd brakes are still not good. Is this valve stuck? How do you take it off to service it?

It probably just needs to be reset. Just read in the original ford manual if you have one, or look it up on google or this forum

The differential valve (not proportioning valve) is reset in the car by bleeding the front or rear brake as appropriate, bleeding gently until the shuttle re-centers and the light goes out.

the key word in 2+2's comment is "gently". Back in the day we used to take the switch out and insert a tool to keep the shuttle centered. it looks like this:
