Thanks. It looks like there is a nut on the choke tube connection, mine doesn't have that. On mine the nut is on the end of the choke tube and the choke housing is just the thread for the nut.
Hi,
I think you're better off with that adapter nut on the choke housing. It doesn't need to be routinely removed which would lead to the gradual erosion of those pot metal threads, that has occurred in your case. Good Luck!
live2shred303 - I just bought the air cleaner housing from you as well. I didn't see that you were selling that yesterday. . .sorry for the 2nd trip to the post office!
By any chance do you have the heat shroud tube that connects the manifold to the air cleaner?

That won't work. The hose is metal and mounted to a bracket that bolts to the maniford. Was trying to save a few bucks and not have to order new. Oh well.

Hi,
There is a point where you may have to just buy the right part. I'm a believer in fabrication, but, sometimes, due to the lack of a proper tool or skill set, one must bite the bullet. Now, this be stated, have you checked your local hardware store for the tube/pipe, sure it'll be copper, but, that shouldn't be a bother, your not going the concourse route. BTW, from the looks of the coupling on the choke housing, you'll need a compression furl and nut, as well. Take the housing with you.
Good Luck!
