I don't think that 8 inch is going to hold up with the slicks I see and the 4:11. Are you thinking about a 9 inch?

Its held up so far. But eventually I will upgrade. I wont be dragging it myself just street for now.

There is a car show in my town in September, sooo thats my goal! I have all the motor parts except a carb. I need to do a little wiring, (on order), and put it all together.

I have the Alt on, water neck, working on the balancer now.

Don't want to sound negative, but, how bad was the '67? What was the attraction to this, if your not into drag racing?
Good luck, with what ever direction you go.

The motor parts on the 66 are worth more than the 67 was, IMO. It was a good trade, trust me I thought about it for weeks...

looks like a good project and a very good start on the engine. Wouldnt take much time to get her back on the road & running good.

A 8 inch is stronger then most say it is,I tried hard to break mine but open diff and like a 2.80 gear it wouldn't grab hard enough to blow lol.

After two days all I need to get is a carb and install the radiator and starter!

Ya, the last owner used it for drag with no issues, so im sure I will be fine for a while!
