Help! Who makes a continuous duty replacement for Barry Grant BG220PS?
I recently sold my '89 Fox Body with 408 stroker to a really great young guy. (Still have my 2007 GT for Mustang 'fun'!!) The motor and drivetrain are seriously solid, and I had no worries there. Alas, within the first 50 miles the Barry Grant BG220PS fuel pump quits on him. I am not in the business of screwing people, and I did not expect this to occur. Accordingly, I told him I would buy a new replacement. He intends to drive it primarily on the street. With Barry Grant bankrupt, and the Demon BG fuel pump line not out there yet, what would the experts on this forum recommend as a continuous duty direct replacement for the Barry Grant BG220PS? Manufacturer and model number would be a huge help to me... Thanks, Steve.

I'd ask this to be moved to the Classic section or post there.
Those guys know about carbs.
FWIW, I had a holey fuel pump on my old 342 stroker and it broke rather quickly.
Aftermarket mechanical pumps aren't all that reliable for the street I guess.

Got the Barry Grant model wrong; it was a BG220HR and the guy actually found a new replacement BG220HR at an old speed shop in Seattle. So all is well!!

Thanks, Pascal! I felt badly for him; this is a great little Mustang with a bullet-proof motor and drivetrain..fresh paint and perfect body. I never imagined the fuel pump would quit on him in the first 50 miles of his first cruise...even though the car was sold 'as is', I felt morally obligated to pay for the new pump...just seemed like the right thing to do.
