Default 66 Electrical Problems

Ignore previous Updates. The clicking came back when I went to close up. This is now up to date as I am done for the day. (It's now dark and the car is stored outdoors.)

I have a 66 200 ci.

I have a clicking noise in the dash that seems to originate from the windshield wiper ****. I can feel it in the headlight **** also, but it might just be resonating from the windshield wiper ****. When hooked up and functional, the radio turns on and off in sync with this clicking noise.

The clicking noise is not from the turn signals, the first thing I checked was that little metal pot.

This all started because I was trying to fix my gauges. I thought the voltage regulator was out, but it was fine. My fuses were blown and I replaced them all. Thanks for any help.

At one point the clicking noise stopped when I unhooked the white wire from the wiper ****, I tried this again later but it didn't work.

All other issues have been taken care of except for the clicking and the fuel gauge. The sending unit is the issue for fuel. The DIN radio is using a wire coming straight from the fuse box now and it works fine.

Default Pics of my wiring

Sorry for the huge images. It looks like the ability to change the size of images is disabled here...

These are labeled pictures of my wiring. The instruments are not connected, nor is the memory power to the radio. I appreciate any help and suggestions.

If you have the optional emer flashers -switch is in the glove box -there's another flasher for that circuit in about the middle of the dash. Assuming the problem occurs event when parked, The only thing that oscillates is the IVR. or it could be something on the heater fan.
On second thought, there is a wiring junction soldered together in the harness that provides power to several of the circuits. maybe that is failed or you have some chafing in the wiring and its really a short to ground your hearing.
