Default smaller oil pressure sender

Hello

The oil pressure sending units have always been a problem because they just barley fit without running into the performance style mechanical fuel pumps.

Well I broke my fuel pump by getting a fitting too tight and had to buy another fuel pump this one was a holley 110 gph and now my oil pressure sender touches on the case of the fuel pump.

Can I get rid of that bulky sender for one that's not so big around? What can I use instead?

Even the aftermarket ones I've seen are that big. I don't recall seeing any factory units that are smaller the last time I flipped through my BWD book at work.

Honestly, I'd consider adding an aftermarket electric gauge. That would solve your current problem, as well as giving you an accurate oil pressure reading.

My aftermarket oil gauge has a bulky sending unit too. I actually made a T out of brass pipe fittings to allow use of my warning light sender too. You could just make a new longer adapter.

If I could get the same adapter without the 45deg cut for the oil sender that would work I think.

Thanks for your help guys.

some of the later 302's (like late 80's to 90's) have a 90 degree ext for the sender
