Default Need Help to ID tranny

Recently bought a '69 Coupe and have only spent a couple of hours with her before going to my next duty station. She was born a 6cyl and now has a 351W and 9" rear.

I can't figure out what tranny it has? It has a top cover like a "toploader" but the 4 speed hurst shifter linkage is all on the right/passenger side? The only thing on the left/driver side is the speedo... Like I said I am not collocated with the car now so really can't dig into all the markings to figure it out. I made a feeble attempt to research it on the web but could not find one manual four speed tranny with the linkage on the right side to compare.

Here is a crappy picture of the tail section taken from the driver’s side; maybe somebody can help me ID this by the cast/markings/contour?

Thanks! Charles

Beats, me. Looks like one of them three speeds with a fourth gear overdrive. Tranny is not bad, but not very strong. Can't even think of any Ford tranny with the shifter linkage on the passenger side.
Best,
Al

Today's post is brought to you by the word, "collocated".

Just thought of a passenger side shifter setup tranny, maybe. Would the Australian Fords use such a thang? Have never seen one, but they may exist.
Best,
Al
