We underpaid for the paint on our 72 Mach1 and the result was that the painter skimped on the clear and the buffing. By the time I buffed it out well, there was so little clear is so thin that in places any buffing in the future runs the risk of going through the clear. While we got a great price, including installing all the stripes, painting the black on the hood and along the sides, aligning doors and hood, I would rather have paid the extra to get the whole thing really great!

It sounds like you worked something out-I look forward to the pics when its done!

All the best.
