Turns signals not working when headlights on
Guys,
I have spent several hours trying to figure out a weird problem on my 65 Mustang. When my headlights are on, my turn signals don't work. If I turn the headlights off, the turn signals work.
I rarely drive the car at night so I don't know if this problem has always been there but I did just replace my speedometer today so maybe (probably) that's the culprit. I have triple checked the connections and everything is plugged in properly.
Also, I don't know if any of this matters but my left headlight is dim. I have a new dimmer switch. My alternator (65 amp) and voltage regulator (bought from Napa) are only a week old.
Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this problem?

I fixed the problem. I got to thinking about my headlight being dim which is usually a bad ground. Sure enough, the ground wire connector for the headlights had broken off at the voltage regulator.
I wish I thought of this earlier today!
