Default 69 fastback good price? needs restored

I think I can get it for $2000-$2500

I found this 69 fastback that needs front floor pans, engine and trans, I want to redue suspension to disk breaks or might redue it at a later date if this is really good suspension. a lot of surface rust. I will do all the work myself so labor will be nothing but a butt chewing here and there from the wife.
Front and back glass good missing door glass. solid body engine bay had 2 holes on the side from rust thats all i seen. gauges all there looks good.

Good idea or bad idea this will also be a 2-4 year restore not anything fast

Thats a trick question. At first glance I would say yes. But,is it a special model, big block. small block or a 4 speed etc.. ? Also, we would really need to see more pictures of the rear frame rails and the tops of the aprons to make a serious determination.

It could cost $25,000 to make a $15,000 car if your not careful. So is the chassis worth it? I guess it depends on how familiar you are with these cars and if you have a spare parts pile already started.

Thats is in way nicer shape cosmetically than my 69 FB I picked up for same price on trade value but mine is complete and runs, but the catch is I got two cracked rear rails and need both rear full quarters. Yours here is at a better starting point not knowing all the sheet metal that needs to be redone. There have been more far gone cars redone and with the amount of parts they make there is no such thing as to far gone really unless it was a pancake.

If you can weld and have the time and money to restore it i would buy it.If the floor pans rusted out there's a good chance the cowl vent is rusted out too.
