Default 1967 Mustang Fastback engine question

Im looking to buy a 67 eleanor mustang but it needs an engine and trans. Would a engine from a 2008 gt fit in the 67? Has anyone done this?

you can make anything fit into anything it's up to you to decide if it's worth it.and for what a shop would charge i would sell the the gt motor buy a crate motor and be done with it as far as tranny goes is it a manual or auto
