Default Shifter Housing Assembly for a 1966 Mustang

I have 1966 Mustang that I recently brought with an after market shifter that I want to replace . I have been looking for the original shifter housing assembly, but have noticed that they only sell the complete assembly for 1967 Mustangs. Can anyone tell me of this shifter is compatible with 1966 Mustangs? Thanks in advance.

Get a hold of Bill Heeley in Olney, MD. Google "fordshifters chillwillbill" to get to his ebay site. he's got the 66 control boxes, linkage, shifters, etc. He's the guru...
