Default Radiator for a 200 ci coupe...

Do they make a 4-row radiator for my 65 I6 coupe that you can just bolt it on without any modifications?

Go for an aluminum 2 row, it should be plenty for your 6. They are about $159 from classic radiator right here in Riverside, CA. Its a champion brand. Look them up on Ebay, it will fit just like the original but cool way better.

I put in a 3 row from MU or CJ (can't remember), It bolted right in and had been great for a couple years now. Mine is a 67, but they probably make one for 65.

I'm keeping my new 3-row copper/brass radiator, and I just bought a 3.5" wide fan shroud from Mustang Depot in Las Vegas.

Hopefully this will knock down my heat issues.

How much more effective is adding a shroud going to be?

I'm surprised you are having heating issues. I ran a bored .040 over modded I6 and never had a problem with the stock radiator.

I'm running a 0.030 bore 66 I6 with stock radiator and auto trans with no heating problems. Are you having problems with overheating?

Thanks for your replies. It was a combination of things. The motor was a complete rebuild with a lot of modifications including a beefier cam. The cylinders were bored out to the maximum, so the speed shop sleeved the cylinders to the original specs (I don't know if that would cause any problems).

The new aluminum 2-row radiator had a leak in the base of the neck. It was taken to a radiator shop and they said the found it clogged up and cleaned it out and pressure tested it. They did not find the leak...

The thermostat housing was warped and that caused another pressure leak.

I went through 3 brand-new Murray radiators from O'Reilly's Automotive, the first two both had leaks on a weld near the top. They should pay these chinese kids more than a bowl of rice a day...

The third radiator was a charm and I bought a new t-housing. It runs at about 170 degrees except when I run it on the freeways for any length of time. When I get off the freeway the temps get anywhere from 215 to 230 when I idle at a stop.

I think the shroud with greatly increase the effectiveness of the cooling capacity when I idle or drive slow on a hot day.

Yeah a fan shroud would help, maybe even an electric fan.
