Ok, wipers haven't worked on my 66 coupe since I got it. After ordering the wrong switch I finally got the correct switch for my single speed wipers.

Replaced the switch today and upon turning the key on, the switch is clicking..the breaker switching on & off so I know there is a short somewhere.

Switch worked fine hooked to the plug but not touching the dash.

Ends up being the hot connector on the switch is internally grounded to the body of the switch so the only way it would work is to isolate the switch from the dash...

This can't be correct can it? I think it must be a defective switch, right?

Just want to ask here before I try to get another replacement from CJ's
