Gun - It looks like you are basing the 24 MPG with Performer Intake on a single trip (unless I missed something). And what method did you use to calculate MPG - the fill-up method?

All I'm thinking is that perhaps the single sample you are basing the decrease in MPG is flawed. Obviously lots of factors affect MPG (temp/humidity/route/traffic/speeds). So maybe you're not giving up as much MPG as you think for the new setup...

Just thinking out loud here.

You are right Im still short a full deck of data I havent stopped collecting that yet.

But after switching the intake I damn near ran out of fuel because I normally would have had enough but the drop in mileage was obvious I was like WTF there was a 1/4+ tank indicated now its zero and im getting low and erratic fuel pressure but I only had a 300 yards to go before I was home.

Its not like it was a 4 mpg drop its pretty obvious but Im double checking to make sure its not playing games with my head...so far the data I do have is aligned with my simple observations.

To check I use the same pump at the same gas station parked in the same direction. I use about 1/2 tank fill it up until the pump clicks off then I wait 30 seconds and then squeeze again until it clicks a 2nd time.

Thanks

I was thinking the same thing. An 80 mile trip (I'm assuming 80 miles one way) done twice isn't enough to accurately calculate mileage. Just saying . . .

perhaps....we shall see....

I would like to think after 12 years I would know my horse...but who the **** knows. I suppose we are all subject to trick ourselves into imagining things...good news is I have a project to play with until I convince myself one way or another.
