Part of the appeal for the new "restomod" look is doing what hasn't been done before. While not interested in doing this to my ride at all, it would be interesting to see one done. From what I understand, the universal kits would probably work because, contrary to what most think, the door actually opens same as stock. The difference is that when the door breaks contact with the latch, it pivots up. Basically all your doing is changing the angle of the door hinge after the door is opened.

I just thought as "retro" as that car looked anyway and it's SO far from factory that it'll never again be original. But hey, to each his own! Like I said earlier, I couldn't imagine doing this to my ride. You may not like the results from someone subjecting his / her own pony to this torture but you have to admire the enthusiasm! lol[sm=bounceybounce.gif]
