Good Mechanic in Canton, Michigan
Hi Folks:
I have a 66 with a 289 and am looking for a good mechanic to give her a good lube, tighten things up etc. Also, I would love to get the 8-track working. Any suggestions?
Many Thanks,
Al

Yes. I have a guy that works on my 1966 Mustang. He has a shop on Gratiot by I696. Well worth the trip. You can send him an email: dietrends@juno.com He is Michigan registered for Tool and Die and he has a shop filled with parts - so he builds custom metal fittings. He is a member of the Shelby club (http://SAAC-MCR.org). He spends a lot of time finding parts. Alot of folks know him and he has a long list of people with technical knowledge. He knows a lot about the classic Mustang. He also work on other classic cars. He build a 302 (30 over so 306), he lowered the front (Shelby drop). Replaced the upper and lower control arms. He installed front disc brakes. He rebuild several parts of my car.
When I first got my car I could feel the floating as I went aroung the curve at 55 MPH on I696. After he completed the work it felt much thighter.

I had some work done by Cameron Bare at Advanced Automotive in Ann Arbor. Good guy. Has a 65 himself. Even stole some parts off his own car to get mine running.
