Default 2006 Mustang GT rims and tires fit a 1965 Mustang?

Will 2006 Mustang GT rims and tires fit a 1965 Mustang without any spacers or rubbing?

Rims and tire have around 60% of tread left on them and they are Pirelli P-Zero Nero 235/55/ZR17 tires

Cant upload a picture at work.. Will tonight..
Heres the link.

I saw a post from 2009, which said they would fit without a spacer and no rub. Where does this spacer go? and does the front and rear both need a spacer?

Found it.. Seems the tire is the issue though... What are your thoughts?

I don't see any mention of them not working with out spacers, except for maybe on the rear if the axle is wider. In which case, I would pass on them. If they won't fit without spacers, they don't belong on the car.

the problem with the tires was a 55 series 17" is over 27" tall.if you were to use a 225/45/17 there shouldnt be any rubbing issues depending on the height of the car.

Are they any modern Mustang Rims and tires which will work on a 65?
So essentially, its the tires size which is the issue?
