1966 Exhaust Upgrade

I have Dynomax Ultraflow mufflers now and love them. They are sort of like Magnaflow but with a bit more glasspack sound. I think the sound is definitely more old school and fitting for a classic car. i have full tail pipes with turn downs at the valance.
I had Flowmaster 40 series on my car for a little while and it the interior resonance and hollow tin can sound on the outside was terrible.
I prefer H pipes to X pipes. The sound with the H is much beefier at idle and less raspy than the X. On a mild street car, I doubt it matters much either way for performance.
I do think that side exit with glasspacks is a cool idea. I've not heard that particular setup with that kit in person before though. I have heard very similar setups that did sound more on the aggressive side, but did still sound good.

The owner before me put on flowmaster 40's and I hate how loud they are. My muffler shop recommended headers, and xpipe, and magnaflows.
not sure what I will do, but thinking of shorty headers, x pipe, and keep the 40's and see how it sounds.

Love the sound of the tri Y's headers going to an H pipe then to Flow master 40's. Has a nice but not over powering sound to a pretty much stock car. Plus installation on the Tri Y headers wasn't bad at all.
I'm a rookie mustanger but love to tinker.
