You are so funny. I'd LOVE to quit my day job and build cars for a living. It'd be my dream! Unfortunately though, I don't think it's going to happen any time soon.

Today we tackled installing the engine and transmission. Aaron had planned to have a friend come down last weekend to help with the install but at the end of the day it just wasn't ready to be put in. This weekend we had no help so it was just us. Engine was a breeze but transmission gave us a run! But, we made it, and are still married.

Been hearing alot about this spi epoxy, is it just the primer reduced? Been using tractor implement paint but that stuff looks great. Wanna try it on the 66 im restoring, please let me know the paint your spraying. Thanks

It's a two part primer, 1:1 and you can reduce if you want but usually only if you are using it as a sealer. You should try it for sure.

I do have a Challenger. It is awesome, I'm completely head over heals for it. If it'd ever stop raining maybe I could drive it sometime. A few weeks ago my sister and I took it out and we put about 100 miles on it for the day. Fun, fun times. Mopar people may be different, but man do they appreciate seeing them out on the road.

We mounted the starter relay and voltage regulator. We replaced the distributor with a new unit and are going to install the Pertronix conversion kit. We also scored a non-a/c heater box that is in great shape. Tonight we installed a new blower motor and gaskets and in she went.

I've enjoyed this part of the build more than I'd ever thought.

If there was ever a time to become physically attracted to a car, now would be the time.

My father in-law had a '69 Mach 1 back in the day and bought it new. Sweetest car he'd ever had he says. Though the suspension would barely give the tires any traction back then. He couldn't afford the payments after a year and had to sell it.
