Hesitation problem
Hello, I have a 67 mustang coupe with a problem with accelerating when first getting on the pedal. I have recently put a new Holley 570 avenger carb, however after adjusting the mixture screw with no success. Thought I would put in a new fuel filter next, any ideas after that. Thanks Mike

Hi,
I would re-check, the idle speed in park and drive. Verify timing, as was mentioned all of the hoses are in good shape, also, if running points, check the gap. Verify the plug gaps are all the same. Last, check the engine idle vac and the action of the needle. Also, the Vac gauge is good tool for setting the idle mix screws. A vac gauge can reveal a lot about any given engine's health.
Good Luck!
