I am noticing that when I am letting off the gas I am picking up a vibration that is not like a tire bouncing but more of a area around transmission area but cant really tell. its really hard to describe how it feels in words. its more of a deep toned type vibration than a sharp rattle vibration . just wondering if any suggestions on which way to start looking. I got under car ( without it being jacked to high) and shook drive shaft but it didnt seem to have any major play. but that doesnt mean it doesnt have when in motion, it did have some movement from front to back is that normal.
A one piece drive shaft should not slide if the u-joints are good. Check both the front and rear u-joints and also make sure the trans mount is not torn. If you do not know how old they are it may be worth the time to take them apart and change em.
im sorry to but in but i have the same problem but i have changed the u-joints and balance the drive shaft and changed the tranny mount and i still get the vibration can you guys help me please
on the front of the driveshaft its a large ring with rubber in between the yoke...how much play is there between the driveshaft and the bearing in the tailshaft??
