Question Flying Wheel Covers

What's the secret to keeping wheel cover on? I have one that likes to fly off every now and then. The rim doesn't seem to be bent or otherwise disfigured.

What kind of hub caps are they? The clips might have to be bent out a bit more to add more tension against the rim. Or you may have some broken..

One problem may be the balancing weights on the outside of the rim. Wherever there's a weight the wheel cover doesn't go all the way against the rim.

Should I heat up those clips before bending them, or does it matter?

Just tweak 'em, no heat.
Do all of them just a fuzz. ...then try to get the caps back on.

Ah yes I have had to do the shame walk into an intersection to retrieve those frigging hubcaps. My mistake was thinking my bare hands pushing them on was enough to keep them on. Using a rubber mallet to pound them on and re pound them every month or so did the trick. Eventually i changed wheels to something with no hubcaps and now have one less thing to worry about.
