Fuel Line Leak

if that doesnt work and you have a compressor you can put air into the tank with a rag around it while someone turns the motor over. you dont need a lot of air(dont balloon the tank)

OK, my engine is a 6 cyl 200 cu in. The OLD fuel line I'm replacing is 3/8 ". The NEW fuel line I bought is only 5/16 ". Is that gonna matter when it comes to harming the fuel pump, i.e. making it work harder to pump? I see in the NPD catalog that 5/16" was standard for my size engine, and the 3/8" is for V8s. Wonder why my fuel line was 3/8 " instead of 5/16"?
