Wink Correction to a frequently cited 289 spec.

Just in case it's of interest to anyone out there....I've seen it written time and again in all sorts of books, references,etc. that Ford didn't change the 289 engine block casting over to the 6-bolt bellhousing version until mid-August 1964. That reported changeover date is incorrect. My 289 is the 6-bolt version, and the block casting date code is 4G15, for July 15, 1964, a full month BEFORE this change supposedly occurred. Anyway..a little 289 trivia for you....!

I had a 4G28 block, C5xx casting, that was six bolt. And I thought I had a really early one. You got me by about a week:-)
