66 Mustang Stalls After About 5-10 Minutes

when it dies pull the boot of the coil and place a wrench above the coil and to a ground.
Crank the engine over and see if you get a spark to jump from the coil to the wrench.
Test it before the engine dies and compare.
Im with stepman on this one. I had an MSD box fail something like you described. The MSD has a self test feature to track down these issues not sure about yours.

Sounds like my old ignition module. Would be running fine, then BOOM...dead as a doornail and wouldn't crank. Let sit for a few minutes, it cools down, and off to the races again. My grandfather said in a pinch I could put ice on the box to cool it down and get it running but I just straight up replaced it before it happened again. It wasn't a mallory kit though, so can't really speak to them with authority...just hearing exactly what happened to me.
