Aussie headed Cleveland/Weiand to Parker Racing Funnelweb 2V intake
Had an interesting weekend at the track. Here is a breif overview of the Cleveland.
1990 Mustang- 3250 lb with driver
430 gears
Promotion Straight cut T-5 Tranny
28X10.5 ET Drags
ENGINE 351 .060 over Cleveland with stock rods/crank
13 cc dish KB pistons
9.8 to 1 comp
Aussie 2V heads ported by Henry Boyko 275 cfm/200 cfm
Custom Comp cam Flat solid 255/261 @ .050
Speced out by Tom Magyar .657/.669 lift
of Ford Racing and Chris Mays 104 centerline
of Comp Cams 109 lobe sep
Heddman Husslers 1 7/8 long tube with 3' flat collecters
AED 750HOM carb
MSD complete ignition
Weiend 2V X-Cellerator
Now with Parker Racing Funnelweb 2V
Went 120 MPH to 121 with Weiand
Put the 2V Parker Racing Funnelweb on and with NO changes to carb, not even idle screw or idle bleed screw changes the car picked up MPH.
New MPH with Parker Racing 2V is 125 MPH all the time with a best of 125.69 and went 10.92 with a 1.52 short time. This is run exstensively on the street and has power hatch, windows, door locks, and is run on 91 octane fuel.
Thought I was crazy when I put the intake on and said the car feels faster on the street. Went to the track and found out it was. I also noted an average gain of 2+ MPH in the 1/8th. Just thought I would share with the Cleveland guys because when I first started building the combo I had a hard time finding info. Feel free to ask questions if anyone needs any help. After all, had it not been for the above mentioned three people I wouldn't have gotten this far. As an added note, most of my original times and speeds came whithout the added 150 lbs from a mandatory roll cage that the safety officials suggested I install to continue playing at the track. I went a little overkill and installed a comp engineering 10 point so I had room to grow should the car get faster via more engine displacement or a power adder of some sort. For now I like it as an all motor car. Thanks, cobrar
